Privacy Policy

The short version

LeanCSV does not collect, transmit, store or process any file or data you load into it. Everything happens locally in your browser. No file content touches any server. We do not know what files you open, what data they contain, or what operations you perform.

Who we are

Data you load into the application

Files you open or drag into LeanCSV are read by the browser's native FileReader API and passed entirely in-memory to a Web Worker. No data is sent over any network connection. When you close or refresh the page, all data is immediately discarded. Nothing is persisted to localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or any other storage mechanism.

Information we do collect

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) may collect standard server access logs — IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited. This data is processed by Cloudflare under their own privacy policy for infrastructure and security purposes only. We do not have access to individual-level log data.

Cookies and local storage

LeanCSV does not set any first-party cookies and does not write to any persistent browser storage. No identifier of any kind is stored on your device by this application.

Analytics

We may use a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service to understand aggregate usage (page views, geographic region, browser type). If active, it collects no personally identifiable information and requires no consent banner. No data is sold or shared with advertising networks.

Advertising

Where ads are present, they are served by third-party networks that may set their own cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can opt out of interest-based advertising through your browser settings or the Your Online Choices platform.

Google Fonts

This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font file, Google's servers may record your IP address as part of the standard HTTP request. See Google's privacy policy for details.

Children's privacy

LeanCSV is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data tied to your identity, there is generally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you through our hosting infrastructure, contact us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of LeanCSV after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
